Awards at OxTech Fest
OxTech Fest is proud to be celebrating up and coming innovators in the tech industry, supporting careers in STEM and collaborating with change makers in our inaugural year.
We have two Awards that will be presented during the event:
- Young Tech Award – for 11-14 year olds to show their creativity in tech innovation
- Tech for Impact Award – presented to businesses who are developing inventive solutions that are changing the world
The Young Tech Award encourages young students to respond to global problems – in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals – with original solutions, showing that they have the power to make a difference.
The winner will be announced on Day 1 of the festival – September 7th at 12.45pm, with Carrie-Anne Phillbin (Raspberry Pi), and Lucy Antysz (Amazon Web Services) and Amanda Obidike (STEMi Makers Africa). The winning idea will receive £2000 funding for their school or computing club to spend on equipment, additional programmes or resources and each student in the team will receive an Amazon Kindle Fire provided by Amazon Web Services.

The winner will be announced on Day 2 of the festival – September 8th at 1pm. The winning business will be given a £2000 prize, sponsored by Perspectum to aid their business growth.
